The Paris 2024 Organising Committee has launched its call for 45 000 volunteers.

The call for volunteers is open until 3 May on the paris2024.org website.

Three conditions are required to apply:

►Be at least 18 years old on 1 January 2024.

►Speak French or English.

►Be available for at least ten days during the period of the Olympic Games (26 July-11 August) or Paralympic Games (28 July-8 September).

Three categories of missions are proposed: reception of spectators, athletes, delegations and journalists; sports performance with a role on the sports field (ball boys and girls, doctors, etc.); supervision of volunteers and assistance to the Organising Committee.

30,000 volunteers will be mobilised during the Olympic Games and 15,000 during the Paralympics.

The aim is to recruit 3,000 volunteers with disabilities and to achieve gender balance.

Volunteers will be provided with one meal a day and their transport to the venue will be paid for.

They will not be paid or accommodated by Paris 2024 and will have to pay for their own travel to the event.
